AUTUMN LOOKBOOK

These are just a couple of the Autumn garlands and a feather head dress which I feel is channeling Pocahontas with Claudia in the black fringed dress. All garlands can be custom made in a choice of colours. After looking at the photos they reminded me a lot of the Cottingley Fairies, the photos taken by two little girls which tricked many experts into believing that the fairies were real. FC

FLORAL DREAM

This is one of the earlier garlands and is more Spring like in colour than our newer designs. A recent trip to the trimmings shop led to an investment in some beautiful scarlet ribbon and a burnt orange. Somehow garlands seem to suit every season especially the Autumnal hues of the current stock. September is the best month. Not just because it is both our birthday month. FC

CARNIVAL

The second year of our pop up shop at Notting Hill Carnival. Two long and tiring days of selling garlands and face painting but well worth it.

ABOUT US

 

We are Claudia Helen and Frances Glory. We met at a small primary school in London over 20 years ago and together we create Helen Glory, focusing on our style, hand-made accessories and things we get up to.

We try not to take ourselves too seriously and have fun creating low tech, low budget shoots using our own clothes and things we find lying around the house (which you can see under the "dress up" tab) to recreate looks, eras and ideas that inspire us. With the help of our lovely friend and make-up artist Katherine (plus some dubious photoshopping and terrible puns) we are transformed into people from different times and far flung places.
