CLAUDIA VS HOLLY FULTON

I really like Holly Fulton's range of tribal clutches with sumptous fabrics and jewels arranged in interesting geometric forms, but an original one costs around £500 so I thought I'd have a go at customising my own. I copied the basic geometry of the original but played around with different textures. I also added a tassel which i made by cutting into a piece of leather I'd cut off my biker jacket sleeve. The last photo compares mine with the Holly Fulton original. What do you think?

Materials: An old vintage bag: £15, Sleeves cut off my leather biker jacket: £0), Grey Cotton: £2, Yellow perspex: £1 a sheet, Lino (for the white shape): £2, Silvery card, gravel material and strips of wood scrounged from my old Architecture supplies, Super Glue: £4, Scissors, Needle and Thread.

Total cost: £24 (+ about 3 hours)
