I dream of an all white apartment with pale grey gloss floors. Until then I will have to put up with a photo-shop dream. The dawn of December and the promise of wintery weather to follow has made me long for spring flowers. I would love to find some winter blue bells from a lovely Norfolk wood. Until then I will have to scout for snowdrops in the frozen ground.

SHEARLING QUEST

This is the shearling jacket I got from Blitz Vintage today and I am very happy to have it in my possession. I can now officially be twins with Claudia, although wearing them together might complicate things as people do mistake us for sisters a lot when we are out.

BLITZ VINTAGE

Today I went to the best vintage shop I have ever been to! Blitz Vintage is off Brick Lane on Hanbury Street tucked away between Curry houses. I saw it advertised on another blog and went in search of a 70s Levi's shearling jacket (a style steal from Claudia so I stop stealing her actual denim jacket). I found my perfect jacket and a whole lot more. This gigantic space makes Beyond Vintage look like a dark dank hovel and at Blitz they have made a real effort to transform this warehouse space into a cozy American Dream. They even have a sweet cafe at the front with tables outside for warmer days. I suggested they hold a reading group there to make more of their book section which promotes modern classics by authors such as Jack Kerouac. I definitely going back sharpish to make the most of the well organised space and bag myself some more clobber.

NEW CONTEMPORARIES

I was lucky enough to attend the private view of the New Contemporaries Show at the ICA on Tuesday before the place was completely overrun by the hoards of art vultures. Everyone out for a free Peroni. It was a great show although I will have to go again to view it without so many green bottles around the place. It was well worth the trip after work especially for the incredible ICA bookshop which I wish was located in my house. I wore my crocheted neck collar which I will be writing instructions for at a later date.

GRIDDED SKY

I work near Old Street roundabout which in most weathers is a pretty grim site. The other day however, I noticed how in the cold wintery sun, the mammoth buildings reflected the brilliant blue sky and fluffy clouds. They almost look like the buildings are made of computer screens and have gridded up the view very nicely.

ALL AMERICAN GIRL

I stole this top from my boyfriend this morning. I love how American it is. They have similar baseball tops in American Apparel in loads of different colours. When I got home I realised it was similar to the shirt worn by Lana Del Rey in here Video Games photos so I donned a flower garland for the evening.

SALT AND PEPPER

This customised jumper is the perfect antidote to cold London days. In a previous life this black and white speckled thing was a men's roll neck with no patches to call its own. To make it more wearable I sewed down the neck and added pieces of imitation grey leather to the elbows.
