 I am liking some of the pieces from the FW12 collections coming out of the Sports Luxe trend. Some, however, seem a bit outlandish and unwearable. These paneled leggings are a nice alternative to going full on sporty with tracksuits to boot. I do wish I had a whole outfit of pastel denim to wear with my neon blue silky top. A girl can dream.

MISTAKE PURCHASE # 1

Note to all. Do not use the eBay app while drunk at a bus stop and bored. I fell down this rabbit hole trap and tried to buy the above jumper in navy. Two days later I found out I was the highest bidder on this khaki creation. It is actually starting to grow on me but I think I need a serious tan to carry off this shade this Spring. Yet, wearing this jumper with flatform espadrilles helps me pretend it is Summer and the sun is shining.

FASHION WEEK

On Saturday I was lucky enough to attend the Bolzoni & Walsh Fashion Week presentation at 2 Temple Place. There was a great reaction to the collection and a great buzz around the place as people drifted around the rooms viewing the FW12 offerings. Above are some photos from the Markus Lupfer room and his amazing Carpe Diem jumper. There was also a great offering from Dominic Jones who had created some bold rings for this collection.

AFTER THE STORM

For the last five days I have been helping Vivienne Westwood Red Label put their show together for London Fashion Week. It took place yesterday in the beautiful Goldsmith's Hall in central London and was a great success. See here for pictures. We didn't manage to get much sleep over the weekend so I spent most of today in bed, and contact lenses are out of the question!

SILVER COLLARED WORKER

I became a silver collar worker for a day pretending to look smart. I am a slave to comfort and sometimes find putting a shirt on in the morning too restrictive. Luckily with this ASOS leather silver collar, I get the best part of a shirt with ability to wear my massive men's Cuppa Diem t-shirt underneath and still manage to look dressed up. Result on both counts.

SHOREDITCH SHOPPING DUO

On my lunch today I decided to explore two new shops in Shoreditch. First of all I went to Material at the Red Gallery. They have a lovely selection books, magazines and prints. The entire outside is painted the best shade of slate grey with a make-shift painted sign and a creative window transfer. This is a great place for browsing the latest publications in addition to visiting the gallery next door.

The second shop on my wonders was Pitfield on Pitfield Street, a cafe mixed with a curiosity interiors shop. This place is a mass of colour, texture and decadence. They also do mighty nice coffee.
